Welcome to Our Firm
Courtney is a native of Austin, Texas who moved to small-town, Georgia in 2017 to advocate for equality and constitutional protections for all. Before attending law school at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, she dedicated her time teaching 6th grade math at a low-socioeconomic public middle school in her hometown. Once in law school, she interned with Legal Aid South Africa in Durban, South Africa and was exposed to the world of criminal defense, igniting her commitment to representing the marginalized. Courtney's journey led her to the Dublin Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office in Georgia, where she zealously fought for her clients in countless trials and grew into an educated, experienced litigator.
Her dedication and expertise were recognized in 2022 when the Supreme Court of Georgia cited her arguments in a landmark ruling that overturned her client’s murder conviction.
At trial, Courtney has achieved acquittals for her clients on the charges of murder, vehicular homicide, aggravated battery, aggravated child molestation, trafficking illegal drugs, violating the street gang and terrorism act, and many more.
Outside of her legal practice, Courtney is a devoted wife and mother of two, striking a balance between fierce advocacy in the courtroom and cherished family time, never compromising on either. Courtney's drive to seek justice for the marginalized stems from her deep-rooted belief in the power of storytelling to transform lives and societies, guiding her approach to each case with empathy, creativity, and determination.
